Probably each electric car owner is familiar with regenerative braking feature, making the car slowing down with accelerator released in order to give some extra juice to the battery. Though, next generation Nissan Leaf will get a more advanced system e-Pedal, allowing the complete one-pedal driving.

Nissan claims a new Leaf to be the first car which might be driven only with one pedal. Pushing the accelerator would obviously result the acceleration, easing off will make the car to slow down, while to stop the vehicle driver should release the pedal. Simple as that; moreover, the car would stop and stand still even on hills until the driver presses the accelerator again. e-Pedal feature will be activated via the switch on the console.

Next-gen Nissan Leaf presentation is scheduled on September 5th.
