The EV spread is going on a full swing. First 2020 sales reports are starting to come out and those figures supports this fact: for instance, EVs counted for 13% of new cars registrations in Europe in January 2020.
1,138,057 new passenger cars were registered in Europe this January in total, and that is 7,6% less than during the same period of last year. Though, the electric vehicles segment rises despite the overall decrease: European EV sales grew 72% compared to January 2019 – 150,000 registered cars vs 87,000 last year.
Norway leads with the share of EVs in total amount of passenger cars sold with 77% of total sales. Sweden is second with 38% and Finland closes the Top-3 with 28%.
