Long anticipated Tesla Model 3 with dual motors and all-wheel drive is finally available for reservation holders in two modifications – standard Dual Motor All-Wheel-Drive and faster Performance Dual Motor All-Wheel-Drive. Surprisingly, Model 3 with two motors does not provide higher range in both versions, though, despite the better dynamics, dual-motors configuration has its benefits in terms of safety. According to Elon Musk, Tesla dual-motors work in such way that the car is able to drive even if one of the engines is broken down, meaning you won’t stuck in the middle of your journey in potentially unsafe environment.

Tesla Model 3 Dual Motor All-Wheel-Drive specs:
– Range: 310 miles
– 0 to 60 mph acceleration: 4.5 seconds
– Top speed: 140 mph

Tesla Model 3 Performance Dual Motor All-Wheel-Drive specs:
– Range: 310 miles
– 0 to 60 mph acceleration: 3.5 seconds
– Top speed: 155 mph

Reportedly, an AWD option would cost additional $5,000. The price of Model 3 Performance version will start from $78,000 (all prices in USD). By the way, Performance version will get several unique features, as a carbon fiber spoiler, 20” Performance wheels, and black and white interior options (on the picture below).
