According to Reuters, BMW looks forward to unveil a completely new generation of i3 next year. A few facts we already know – further.
Actually, BMW i3 got an update a few months ago – now customers are able to order an EV with a new battery of higher capacity of 33 kWh making it possible to cover about 190 miles (300 km) on a single charge (with an optional Range Extender). Also, the facelift included several new lines in optional equipment list.
However, BMW is expected to show a whole new generation of i3 in 2017. The car is expected to get a new battery – though its effect on total range is unclear yet. According to Carscoops, the increase in range should not be over 50% of the capacity currently available. Moreover, there would be significant improvements in BMW i3 design.
By the way, current generation BMW i3 faced rapid increase in sales earlier this year in Europe.
