Just over a year ago Nick Pfitzner from Australia became one of the first Tesla Powerwall owners in the region. In January 2016 he installed a 7 kWh Powerwall battery, 5 kW solar array, the inverter and other necessary equipment. One year after they have estimated the savings gained from Powerwall and got a nearly shocking result of 92% electricity cost reduction – thanks to Powerwall’s energy storage Nick paid for the electricity consumed only $137 for a whole year. By the way, the next generation of Tesla’s household battery that is already being produced at the Gigafactory has doubled capacity of 14 kWh.
