Some time ago Porsche claimed electric powertrain to be incapable of delivering such level of performance, which would be acceptable for their brand. Seems that the world has changed – a few days ago Porsche’s CEO Oliver Blume stated that half of the company’s production to be electric in six years.

Luxury sports-sedan Mission E is the first Porsche’s all-electric car, which exists today as a concept car. This vehicle should be capable of 3.5 sec 0-60 mph acceleration and is expected to enter production in 2019. Moreover, Porsche promises to unveil new all-electric vehicle based on Macan compact SUV.

By the way, Porsche delivered about 230,000 cars worldwide in total last year, while Mission E annual production rate is expected to hit 20,000 vehicles.
