New all-electric car with great range for a city SUV.

Kia Niro EV was unveiled last week at the Busan International Motor show in South Korea. According to the automaker, Niro EV should be the second Kia’s all-electric car after Soul EV to be available globally.

Niro is equipped with 64 kWh battery pack providing the car with 450 kilometers (280 miles) of range on a single charge. The electric motor with 204 hp output is mounted on front wheels and is capable of accelerating the compact SUV from 0 to 100 km/h (60 mph) in 7.8 seconds. Kia Niro will also be available with cheaper 39 kWh battery pack capable of 300 km (185 miles) of range.

South Korea is expected to be the first market for Kia Niro – all-electric SUV is expected by dealerships here in late 2018, following with other countries afterwards.
