Infiniti is a Nissan’s premium brand which currently does not offer any electric cars in its lineup. However, the automaker unveiled its first EV – unfortunately, made only to be exhibited at the Pebble Beach in California.

Atypical for Infiniti car is even more original than it could be, since it looks like the middle of XX century open-wheels race car. Although, the car is equipped with the latest technologies, that will take place in next-gen Nissan Leaf (which will be unveiled in less than a month). For instance, the car features rear-mounted Leaf’s electric motor with 148 hp output. This engine is able to accelerate the car from 0 to 60 mph in 5.5 seconds, while the top speed is limited to 105 mph (though, according to Infiniti the potential max speed is around 130 mph).

Infiniti also claims the car to carry 30 kWh battery pack enabling it to drive around the track for approximately 20 minutes. Sadly, there is no official information about production.
