Curtiss Motorcycles formerly had been known as Confederate Motors – the producer of unique motorcycles with great power and torque. However, recently they decided to change the name and go into electric bikes.
According to Curtiss Motorcycles president Matt Chambers, the company reached the limits of what they can do with internal combustion engines and the only way to grow further now is to turn to electric power.
Now Curtiss Motorcycles will cooperate with a strong partner – Zero Motorcycles, world’s leading electric bikes producer. Curtiss’ upcoming bike is going to feature a dual-motor (!) configuration with a total output equivalent to 175 hp and 393 Nm of torque.
Unfortunately, both companies didn’t give any insights on production timing.
