The data is taken for the period from 2011 till May, 2018.
While looking at such statistics it is clear that auto thefts are having troubles with Tesla vehicles. According to the National Insurance Crime Bureau data, 112 of 115 stolen Tesla were recovered.
By the way, such result is much higher than US average. For example, in 2016 each stolen Tesla was recovered, while the rate for all vehicles reached only 58,4%.
Tesla owners and experts believe that largely it is due to the permanent Internet connection and mobile app always showing the car’s position on map and allowing to block it in case of emergency.
